Financial Advisor Brent Vandermeer from CrossPoint Financial joins Dave and Reb to talk about what a financially resilient household can look like. They also tackle a very common question they hear in the marketplace: once we've paid off consumer debt, should we pay down our mortgage first, or invest? They emphasize the importance of living on less than you make, and developing savings habits, no matter how you answer that question for yourselves. Today's show is sponsored by More Than Enough Financial, a financial coaching company that helps people find hope and freedom on their financial journey.

What will it take for you and I to commit to financial literacy and healthy financial habits? What will it take for you and I to commit to true discipleship? On today's radio show Rev. Ray Borg talks with Dave and Reb about "setting a stake in the ground" to turn the corner and commit to a new and healthier financial journey with Christ. It involves doing what Jesus said as we "count the cost" of following Him, or as Zacchaeus discovered, encountering Christ at such a deep level, we will give up everything we have to follow him. Tune in to hear their conversation, which today is sponsored by More Than Enough Financial. To learn more, go to morethanenough.ca.

Local Pastor Mike Hoogeboom joins Dave and Reb this week to share the journey his church and community have experienced since the tornadoes hit the Ottawa area last fall. Arlington Woods Free Methodist Church experienced loss to her property and buildings because of the storm, but also became a place of rest, refuge and mobilization in the time of crisis. In light of these experiences, Arlington Woods Free Methodist Church is hosting a training day on Saturday March 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., where members of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will train people in disaster rapid response. Organizers want to see an "Ottawa Responds" interdenominational team forming to be trained to respond in times of crisis. For more information go to arlingtonwoods.ca or call the church at 613-596-9390.
